“You can’t always get what you want…” Most of us know that lyric from the Rolling Stones. Most of us have lived it, too. The job didn’t come through. The relationship ended. The diagnosis changed everything. The future didn’t turn out the way we imagined.
In today’s message, Pastor Jim uses the Rolling Stone song to talk about disappointment—not as failure, but as a turning point in the journey of faith. Life doesn’t always go according to plan. But what if faith isn’t measured by the absence of struggle? Maybe faith isn’t about getting everything we want. Maybe it’s about discovering the grace we need.
